Ron Mayo....  Carved for 40+ years.  Lived in Zephyrhills, FL.  Never sold anything he made.  When he passed his wife and daughter started dispersing a limited # of his handmade lures into the Marketplace. Not only did he store his carved items but he bought random collections of things.  Never displayed or sold anything either.  Just stored everything.  He started making wood lighthouses, then birds and then dioramas.  Then he started doing lures, mostly inspired by FL lures.  He loved Pfeffer brand lures from FL.  That green dotted pattern (Bass Scale) is on a lot of his lures and other items.  He also did that color on items that he didn't carve. Like hooks, coins, whistles, badges, paint brushes and more.  He also did decoys, boats and planes.  Personally his boats are my favorite pieces.
